How to Watch Ohio High School Football Games

One of the best parts about Ohio high school football is that you can watch every game live. It’s a great chance for diehard fans to relive their childhood. Just go to one of your local high schools and watch from the stands with all the other fans. If you want to watch on TV, you can find most games on ESPNU or FOX Sports Ohio in the fall and winter. The games are also broadcast on The Game (NBCSN) during the spring season.

The Rules and Scoring System in the Game

The game is played on a field 100 yards long, 50 yards wide, and end zones of 10 yards. There are three downs to score points and the scoring system is as follows:

3 points for a touchdown (TD)

2 points for a field goal or safety

1 point for conversion or successful extra point

No points are awarded if there is no TD scored in the game. At the end of each game, there will be a winner. The winning team will receive 1 point for winning and 0 for losing. If there is no winner after both teams have competed, then there will be an overtime period where teams compete until one team scores. The scoring system goes like this:

If the first possession ends without any score, then the team that wins receives two points.

If both teams score in overtime periods, then each team gets one point.

Player requirement

Ohio high school football is a game that requires a lot of players on the field. In order to play, you must be at least 6 feet tall and weigh at least 110 pounds. A team can only have 11 players on the field at a time, and there are three downs for scoring.
