Alabama 6A State Championship: Saraland vs. Clay Chalkville - 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8

AHSAA history to win five consecutive state championships but things will not come easy as the Warriors will have to square off against top-ranked Central-Phenix City. It is the two teams' first meeting since Thompson won the 2021 7A title with a 38-22 victory. Central Phenix won the 2018 matchup, 52-7.

No. 2 Thompson has won seven straight games, all of them by double digits, after losing a midseason battle with Clay-Chalkville. Meanwhile, the Red Devils are a perfect 12-0 so far this season without a single game being decided by less than 10 points.

Class 6A, one of the more anticipated matchups of the year will officially take place after No. 1 Saraland and No. 2 Clay-Chalkville seemingly made easy work of the rest of 6A. The top two ranked teams in Class 5A will also meet for the state championship game as No. 2 Ramsay is looking to repeat but No. 1 Gulf Shores stands in the way.

the 3A championship game when Mobile Christian and Madison Academy both hit the road for the long trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium, 2A champion Fyffe secured yet another state title game appearance, its eighth in the last decade. The Red Devils will play Reeltown, a rematch of the 2019 2A title game which Fyffe won 56-7, 1A champion since 2016 when the No. 1 Bears take on No. 9 Coosa Christian
